A campaign manager can prove every call only when the system records the agent identity, call outcome, and consent status as linked events. A transcript or dial list alone cannot answer all three questions reliably.
In 2009, Air France Flight 447 disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean between Rio de Janeiro and Paris. Investigators had debris and automated maintenance messages, but the aircraft’s flight recorders remained missing. They could see fragments of what had happened. They could not yet reconstruct the full sequence with confidence.
The recorders were recovered from the ocean in 2011. France’s Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety, known as the BEA, then used their data to establish the chain of events leading to the crash. The final report did not depend on one clue. It depended on records tied to a specific aircraft, a precise sequence, and the actions taken during that sequence.
A voice campaign carries vastly smaller stakes. The evidence problem has the same shape: partial records produce partial answers.
Three questions waiting on Monday morning
Consider Ama, a composite campaign manager in Accra. At 4:47pm on Friday, she receives a message asking for proof of every automated call before a Monday review.
The request sounds straightforward until she opens the campaign records.
The dial list shows which numbers entered the campaign. It does not establish which configured agent handled each call. The transcripts contain conversation text, but some calls ended before a useful transcript appeared. A separate suppression sheet lists several opt-outs without showing which call produced them or whether they were applied before another attempt.
Ama now has three unanswered questions:
- Which agent called?
- What happened during the call?
- Who opted out?
These questions require connected records, not three exports that happen to cover the same week.
The agent identity matters because voice agents can have different personas, first messages, voices, and instructions. “The system called” is too broad when several configurations are active.
The outcome matters because an attempted call, answered call, failed connection, completed conversation, and provider error are different events. Billing records and campaign reports become unreliable when they collapse those states into one count.
The opt-out matters because withdrawal must affect what happens next. A transcript containing “do not call me again” has limited operational value if the campaign cannot show that the request became a suppression event.
Call truth needs a lifecycle
A defensible call record begins before the recipient answers. It should connect the selected agent and campaign configuration to the call attempt, then record provider events as the call progresses.
That lifecycle might include an attempt, connection, termination, and final disposition. Each event needs a stable call identifier so an operator can follow one call without matching phone numbers and timestamps by hand.

There are limits to state plainly. Asenda Talk is in active early access. Vapi currently orchestrates the assistant runtime, while native Twi speech recognition and synthesis are fine-tuned in-house. Outbound calling remains behind an operator-controlled real-money gate, and the live telephony-provider decision has not yet been made.
That means the platform should be evaluated against what is built today, including agent configuration, lifecycle tracking, metered billing controls, consent records, and audit trails. It should not be treated as a finished replacement for established platforms such as Vapi, Retell AI, or Bland AI.
A transcript cannot carry the whole burden
Transcripts answer questions about recognized speech. They do not independently prove telephony state, configuration identity, or whether an opt-out changed future campaign eligibility.
This distinction becomes sharper in bilingual calls. A Twi withdrawal can be missed or mistranscribed, which is why the opt-out event must stand apart from the transcript. A practical review should start with one call identifier and follow it end to end. Confirm the agent configuration attached to the attempt. Compare lifecycle events with the reported outcome. Locate the consent or opt-out event, then verify that later campaign decisions respected it.
If any link requires a spreadsheet guess, the evidence chain is incomplete.
Build the Monday answer on Friday
The BEA could reconstruct Flight 447 only after investigators recovered records that preserved identity, sequence, and action. Before that, individual clues could suggest what happened, but they could not support the same level of conclusion.
Campaign accountability follows the same evidence principle. Store the agent identity when the call begins. Treat provider lifecycle events as the source of call status. Record opt-outs as structured events tied to the call and recipient, with an audit trail showing what changed afterward.
Before approving a campaign, select a small set of test calls and ask the three questions Ama received. If the system cannot answer each one from connected records, keep outbound calling behind the real-money gate.
Monday’s proof should already exist by Friday at 4:47pm.
